Music has always been an important part of worship at St Peter's, we try to incorporate the best of the old with the best of the new.
Rev Tim often leads worship songs with his guitar during services. He plays his bass guitar with Chris (on guitar) and Helen (on saxophone) to make up our 'Worship Band' for Breakfast@Church in the Church Centre - enthusiastically accompanied by the congregation on various percussion instruments!
The combined bell ringers from St Peter's and St George's ring for our festival services as well as weddings and other events. We have some enthusiastic learners who practice on Tuesday afternoons and new ringers are always welcome. Please contact Tower Captain Judith Robinson for more information.
The church also has a set of Ellercombe chimes which can be played to call people to worship when our band of ringers are not available. These use hammers to strike the bells rather than pulling the long ropes, this means you can play tunes on them, unlike when ringing normally.
