Sources of support

The church family are always ready to listen, comfort or offer prayer for individuals feeling lonely, ill or worried for themselves or a loved one. We periodically hold healing services as well as our annual In Loving Memory service in October to remember those loved ones we have lost.

For those feeling lonely, everyone is welcome at our Community Coffee Shop on Wednesday mornings where you can enjoy fresh coffee, homemade cake and good company. Or join us for refreshments in after the Sunday morning service for a chat with other members of the church family.

St Peter’s also supports a number of local charities which offer a variety of support for groups or individuals in need:

  • Borough Green Food Bank – there is a collection point inside the church for donations to the Borough Green Food Bank which is based at the Church of the Good Shepherd and supports in increasing number of local families
  • The Princess Project helps mums & their families to thrive by providing a holistic package of physical, emotional & spiritual support.
  • DAVSS is an award winning community based charity supporting any victims (aged 16 and above) of domestic abuse, who are living in West Kent.
  • The Children’s Society offers advice and support for young people struggling with their emotions, wanting to read up on mental health issues or learn some life admin skills like how to deal with your finances.
