Visiting the church

The church is normally unlocked for visitors from 10am - 4pm while the adjacent church centre is usually only open for activities and events.

The churchyard has a public footpath running through it and is available to walk through at all times. Please be careful as the ground can be uneven.

Parking

There is parking available on Fen Pond Road. We prioritise the parking spaces on the drive for those with limited mobility or official cars at weddings or funerals.

For busy services, the parking on Fen Pond Road can fill up so we recommend making use of the public parking at the Village Hall on Sevenoaks Road and then walking back down The Street. Google maps

Accessing our buildings

After the lych gate, the path forks right to go to the Church Centre or straight on to reach the Church. Both buildings are accessible by wheelchairs, buggies and prams, although the church does have uneven stones and steps into the chancel and north aisle. Both buildings have gender-neutral, accessible toilets available during services and events.

We also have a wheelchair available if someone needs to borrow one.

Facilities for families at St Peter’s

  • Families are welcome at our many of our services and we have facilities available to help.
The toilet is accessed through the Tower Room at the back of the church and has a changing mat available. There are also toilets in the church centre.
  • Toys bags are available for children to use in the pews. Please ask one of the welcomers if you would like to borrow one.
  • If your child needs a change of scenery or time out from the service, the Tower Room and Vestry are available as separate spaces where you can hear the service but be in a separate room. There are toys available here as well. You are also welcome to make use of the churchyard to run around if the weather is suitable.
  • At some of our services, we offer refreshments after the service in the church centre, as well as serving tea and coffee, we will also have squash and water available.
